Landers Family
Bill and Teresa Landers, both from the suburbs of Atlanta, GA, met during their first semester of college and were married the summer after graduation. They have been in full time Christian ministry for 34 years now, with Bill having served as the Senior Pastor of three churches prior to missionary service. Teresa was a 5th grade math and science teacher for 18 years. The Landers’ have two grown sons, Jonathan (Wendy Presley) and Jeremy.
A very active couple, Teresa played basketball in college and played tennis with the USTA, while Bill is a runner, having completed 28 marathons. They have enjoyed traveling around the Caribbean getting to know the people in the various island cultures. Bill is an avid reader and Teresa loves to garden. Both of them have a love for the homeless community in their adopted hometown of New Orleans, LA where they go a couple of times each year to serve in various homeless ministries.
During the summer of 2014, God began speaking to them about the possibility of moving to the mission field. In 2016, Bill and Teresa transitioned to the island of Eleuthera, a largely undeveloped island in the Bahamas, to serve as international missionaries with the Caribbean Ministries Association.
Their ministry includes training local pastors and church leaders in Eleuthera, leading and equipping opportunities for the acceleration of the spread of the Gospel on other Bahamian islands, St. Martin, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St Vincent, Bequia, and Carriacou. They also host short-term mission teams who come to the Eleuthera Bible Training Center. Visit their Facebook ministry page at Facebook/ForEleuthera.
Most Family
Carl & Kathy Most are a cross-cultural family. Carl, was born & raised in New Zealand, and Kathy was born in the USA and raised in several countries as a missionary child. After training and serving for several years in ministry, in New Zealand, the Lord called the Most family in 1995 to serve Him in full time missions.
One of their greatest delights was being able to serve the people of Nicaragua for 19 years. It was an amazing journey over the years! They were blessed to work in a wide variety of areas: short term teams, orphanages, discipleship classes etc.
In January of 2005, they began serving with Caribbean Ministries Association, whose main focus is to equip church leaders for the work of the ministry. This miraculously led to a 13 yr partnership between CMA and the Nehemiah Center, in Nicaragua. God blessed Carl and Kathy with the opportunity to initiate a Youth Leadership Development Program. This program primarily equipped church leaders and their members to better serve at-risk youth and their families, challenging them to step outside their church walls with the love and hope of Christ for all.
More recently God has begun a new and exciting chapter in their lives. Asking them to leave Nicaragua, God is leading them to now focus on an ever-growing ministry opportunity CMA has in Cuba. This begun with them, and some of their Nicaraguan pastors who had graduated from their courses, going to Cuba to share the course and personal stories of transformation and impact in the churches and cities of Nicaragua.
Now having been trained, many Cubans are inspired and raising up to take this training through out Cuba, seeking to see more incredible stories of God’s amazing grace redeeming lives both inside and outside of the walls of the church.
For Carl and Kathy, it is an honor to get to be a part of this new vision and movement of God in Cuba. They are looking forward to being a greater part of CMA’s ministry, not only in Cuba, but also in the other Islands of the Caribbean where our mission serves.
Voss Family
Paul and Lisa Voss began serving with CMA in 2000. Paul served as Field Director at the Eleuthera Bible Training Center from 2000-2005. Following a three year stint as Associate Pastor of Discipleship & Administration at Covenant Fellowship Baptist Church in Stuart, FL, they returned to serve with CMA in January 2008. Paul serves as Executive Director of CMA, overseeing the missionary staff and expansion of the ministry of CMA.
Both Paul and Lisa were raised in Christian homes and were saved at an early age. They were married in 1992 in Chattanooga, TN. Their first son, Colby was born in 1995, followed by their daughter, Jessica in 1998 and in December 2007, Caleb was born. After working several years in the corporate world, Paul strongly sensed God’s call to ministry in 1999.
Following Paul’s first mission trip in 1999 to Eleuthera, Paul and Lisa sensed that God was calling them to full-time vocational ministry. They moved to Eleuthera in March 2001, serving with the Eleuthera Bible Training Center. They hosted short-term teams from the U.S. who came to complete the construction of the training center and missionary housing. Paul stayed busy overseeing the ministry there, as well as recruiting students for the training school. They experienced the first group of students complete the two-year program of classes and graduate in 2004. This was only the beginning.
Paul and Lisa have always known that God called both of them into ministry. Although Lisa’s ministry looks much different than Paul’s, it is no less significant. Lisa stays busy as a wife and mother as well as a mentor to other women. She teaches 4th grade at Silverdale Baptist Academy where she loves investing in the lives of her students and their families. Colby is married to Heather and loves tennis, hunting and fishing. Jessica married Jacob in 2019 and is beginning her career in nursing. She has a love for music – both piano playing and singing. Caleb loves playing baseball and basketball. Both Paul and Lisa have a passion for discipleship because their lives have been so significantly impacted by godly men and women that have mentored them.
Knowles Family
Kevin Knowles was born in Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, but has spent most of his life based in Freeport, Grand Bahama. He has been serving the Lord in his local church and as an itinerant evangelist for several decades. This ministry takes him to many different islands in the Bahamas to share the gospel and preach in different churches. Kevin and his wife, Bridgette, have four children and two grandchildren.
Kevin has been instrumental in establishing a CMA presence on Grand Bahama. It was through his partnership and support that Bible training began on the island in 2008. He was also key to helping CMA staff get settled on the island and build relationships with local church leaders to help grow the credibility of CMA.
Currently, Kevin is on staff with CMA to continue expanding our relationships with the local church, to oversee the Freeport Bible training institute, and to assist in developing other aspects of the ministry throughout Grand Bahama and Abaco.
WILSON FAMILY
Justin and LeAnne are both from North Mississippi where they met in 2010 and married in 2012. They have 3 children- Ellie, Kesed, and Ryder. Justin enjoys crossfit, mountain biking, and reading. LeAnne loves coffee, creativity and being with people.
Justin has always had a love for serving people but it was radically shaped at age 22 when he went to the Philippines on a mission trip and surrendered to full time ministry. Justin’s greatest desire is that everyone would be able to pick up a bible and understand it for themselves. LeAnne grew up watching her parents faithfully walk with God and fell in love with Jesus at a very young age. Since then, there has always been a strong desire for people to know Jesus and understand the word.
With such a strong conviction for discipleship Justin has served as a student pastor in various churches including Heartland church (Southaven, MS), Longview Heights (Olive Branch, MS), First Baptist Batesville (Batesville, MS) and most recently, Woodland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN.
The Lord began to stir in their hearts together in 2020 at the CMA banquet after hearing all the Lord was doing through CMA. From fall of 2020 through spring of 2023 the Lord graciously clarified the call on their lives to join CMA and partner in the work the Lord has already begun. The Wilson’s will be serving in Abaco where Justin will continue the work of equipping and training faithful pastors who desire to teach their churches sound doctrine and share the message of hope in Jesus. Though most of LeAnne’s time will be spent at home with her kids, her desire is that she will also get opportunities to encourage and teach the word to the women around her.
