Training in Cuba
Seizing the opportunity to strengthen the church in Cuba
Since CMA was established more than 18 years ago, the ministry’s leadership has prayed for God to open the doors in Cuba, the largest island in the Caribbean and home to over 11 million people.
With new foreign relationships available with Cuba, CMA is excited about how God has orchestrated details and made connections for us to have a growing ministry presence there now.
In connection with our missionaries, Carl and Kathy Most, we are coming alongside Cuban churches and leaders with a program that helps equip them to train and disciple others in churches all across the country to be more missional, challenging them to step outside the comfort and routines of the church activities to lovingly go and serve at-risk youth and their families.
The eight Missional Church Courses that CMA offers are being well received, and we are hearing exciting reports of incredible impact in the lives of those society often considers the least, the last and the lost, as these leaders, and their churches, share with the Good News of the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
Ministering to women in Cuba
Kathy often works with Carl in these different ministries and continues to serve and join the Lord in several other exciting ministries He has given her. One special opportunity has been to work in collaboration with Word of Joy Ministries, who have a growing presence across the country of Cuba. God is using them together to hold Women’s Conferences that are teaching, healing and strengthening the lives of hundreds of women, which in turn is impacting families, churches and the Lord’s witness in communities.
How you can be a part of this amazing journey…
We are learning that faithfulness to God in the little things brings with it the opportunity to do greater things.
We are learning that where He leads us He goes with us, enabling us to do much more than we could ever hope or imagine.
Will you prayerfully consider how you can encourage, support and connect with this vital and rewarding ministry? Here is how you can partner with us.
Monthly Support of Local Church Pastors and Leaders
God has blessed CMA with strong relationships with many wonderful Cuban church leaders and their families. Your monthly support of $200 per month helps supply the ever-increasing costs of living for these dedicated families, allowing them to have fewer financial worries, and more time and focus on the weekly ministry responsibilities and opportunities of service God provides for them.
Support training Pastors and Church Leaders across the island of Cuba
It is very exciting to see several past graduates of CMA’s Mission for Transformation training begin to multiply these courses with other Church Leaders, Youth Pastors and churches in their city.
An awesome example of this is Emmanuel Baptist Church, where Pastor Carlos Cabrera and Youth Pastor Felix Yglesias Echevarria serve together. They kindly use their church building to host and promote the CMA missional church trainings being offered. By joining forces with leaders of different churches, God has blessed their vision and passion to not only strengthen church ministries, but also to make a transformational impact in their communities.
Having already completed 3 of the 8 courses, the word is getting out and greater interest and involvement is taking place. So far, 25 church leaders have participated in the training, representing some 8 different churches in this town, and this number is still growing.
A gift of $300 helps these church leaders attend and enjoy each course free of charge. $2400 covers the whole eight course training series.
