Link Year serves in Eleuthera
“...the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and give His life a ransom for many... Matt 20:28
Link Year returns to Eleuthera
For over a decade now, Link Year, a Kanakuk gap year program in Branson, MO has partnered with CMA’s ministry in Eleuthera. CMA just hosted a team of 18 students and leaders for four weeks. Gap year programs like Link Year are year-long, post-High School programs designed to prepare young adults for their next stage of life and offer students an opportunity to grow, mature, work, learn, explore, and travel.
During the year, LY students have an opportunity to go on an international trip. These trips not only provide a change of pace, but also broaden cultural understanding, strengthen Biblical worldview, and provide hands-on missions experience with international ministries, like CMA. Normally, CMA’s short-term teams only serve for one week, however, Link Year spends a month living and serving in Eleuthera each year. This gives Bill and Teresa Landers, CMA’s missionaries in Eleuthera, a unique opportunity to invest in a deeper more meaningful way in the hearts of these students and leaders. It also gives the team more opportunities to invest in the people on the island while they are there for the extended time period.
Our prayer is the seeds that are planted or watered in the hearts of these students will grow and bear lasting fruit and that God uses their experience in Eleuthera to make a Kingdom impact through their lives.
