Ministry During the Pandemic

HELP CMA CONTINUE TO MINISTER DURING THE PANDEMIC

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed life for everyone in significant ways all around the world. Although our training and team ministries have been impacted in major ways, I wanted to share with you how CMA is ministering to people during this crisis.

Ministry in Cuba has taken on a new look

Carl and Kathy's recent ministry trip to Cuba was cut short by the closing of the borders in both countries. Before leaving Cuba, they invited their Airbnb hostess to join them in thanking God for their meal. This is how she described the Mosts' visit.

"Katherine and Carl's visit to our home was a unique and unequalled experience. They are two excellent people who are full of love, goodness, and peace, which they transmit to everyone they come in contact with. Thank you for allowing me to join in your morning prayer, my very first time to do it."

Isn't it incredible how God can impact people's hearts through the simple invitation to prayer?  Since returning, the Mosts' are hearing how local churches in Cuba are  sewing and distributing masks for the elderly, children and essential workers. They are also sharing their limited supply of food. It is exciting to hear how ministry in Cuba continues amidst the virus outbreak.

Bill and Teresa Landers...meeting basic needs in Eleuthera

"Even before Covid-19 became an issue in the Bahamas you could easily find people who were struggling to make ends meet. Now that we have been under 24 hour curfew for a month (now extended through May 30) and total lockdown on weekends, some are becoming desperate for the basics. Very few people are working and have no hope of working until tourists are allowed back in. As a result, it is becoming more and more difficult to put a decent meal on the table.

When a lady told us she was feeding her family only bread, we knew something had to be done.  We got the word out to some people connected to Eleuthera who gave generously for the purpose of buying food for those who are in dire situations. As a result, we have been able to provide food for a number of these families.

When we arrive with a box of food, the adults are so thankful, the children’s eyes light up, and a basic need that most of us take for granted is met."

Here is where we need your help: All spring and summer mission teams have cancelled. We had seven mission teams scheduled for this spring and summer and these teams play a significant role in funding the life-changing ministry of CMA throughout the Caribbean. These cancellations will impact CMA's ability to minister to those He has called us to serve.

If you are financially able, would you consider giving a one-time gift to help CMA through these difficult times?

I want to thank each of you for your faithful support and prayers during this critical time. Your partnership with CMA through your prayers and giving enables us to minister to others.
