Abaco Church Reopens

Daystar Bible Church in Abaco Finally Reopens

The church in Abaco made a small step forward this past Sunday , August 15, 2021.  Daystar Bible Church was able to meet together for the first time since Hurricane Dorian, almost 2 years ago. The church building is still far from completed as there are still no doors or windows in the church, but they do have a roof and have cleaned up all of the debris inside the building.

Benevolence Day meets important needs in community

Bill Luttrell, CMA missionary to Abaco was in attendance when the church met for Benevolence Day to hand out school supplies, food, water, toiletries, and computers to the kids as they prepare for the start of the school year. These are the items that many of you donated throughout the year to provide for the children of Abaco who lost everything during the storm and had no way to replace these items without your generous giving.

We celebrate with Daystar this special day and thank you on behalf of CMA and Daystar Bible Church for making Benevolence Day a success!

The giveaway bags were such a blessing to the kids who received them and an encouragement to the parents who otherwise would struggle to supply these things for the coming school year - giveaway bags included school supplies, food, snacks, juice, water, toiletries, hand sanitizer, books, games, etc. We are so thankful for the assistance from CMA along with other individuals who donated items for the giveaway bags.
